Losing a belly is almost the hardest. The visceral fat, accumulated over the years, it is difficult to lose. However, with patience and choosing the right foods we can get rid of the hated and unsightly gut.
In fact, many times we fail to slim our gut due to erroneous beliefs, such as bloating to do abs or eating 'light' or low-fat foods. Actually, what we need is to do, above all, cardio (running, swimming ...) and eat good fats.
Fatty foods to lose belly
Low-fat foods are usually loaded with sugar and carbohydrates, and if we want to lose belly, it would be to eat, above all, good fats and proteins.
The best way to lose weight is to eat real food (that is, nothing processed) and these foods:
1) Coconut oil
The coconut oil is a vegetable oil rich in saturated fats, and although can be used for different purposes, is also used for human consumption. A study published in the journal Pharmacology found that those who consumed 2 tablespoons of coconut oil a day lost an average of 2.5 centimeters in a month.
2) Cinnamon
Cinnamon balances blood sugar, lowers insulin levels, and therefore reduces the amount of fat the body stores after each meal, including that in the gut.
A study published in The Journal of Nutritional Science and Vitaminology found that mice that ate a daily serving of cinnamaldehyde, the flavoring ingredient of cinnamon, lost belly fat while those that did not eat it did not lose weight.
You can use cinnamon as a substitute for sugar or as a condiment in your desserts.
3) Whole eggs
The whole eggs are a fantastic option to slim the tummy, despite being fatty. In fact, they are one of the best foods to lose weight, as they are rich in protein, healthy fats, increase the feeling of fullness and are very low in calories.
A study in overweight women showed that eating eggs for breakfast increased feelings of fullness and caused participants to eat less for the next 36 hours.
4) olive oil
A study published in the journal Obesity found that eating a diet rich in olive oil creates higher levels of adiponectin, a hormone that breaks down body fat.
5) Almonds
Almonds are a high-quality fatty food that makes us lose weight, since it limits the fat absorbed by the body. A study in the Journal of the American Heart Association, conducted among overweight adults, found that those who ate about a quarter cup of almonds for 6 months lost 62% more weight than those who did not and lost, above all, belly fat and legs-
6) Quinoa
Studies have shown that those who eat at least three servings of whole grains a day have 10% less belly fat than those who do not. Quinoa is rich in fiber, protein, and essential amino acids.
7) Grapefruit
Although fruits, in general, help you lose weight because they have few calories (compared to other foods), grapefruit is the one that contributes the most to making you lose fat without doing anything other than eating it.
This has been shown by numerous studies, as led by Dr. Ken Fujioka, whose team monitored the weight and metabolic factors, such as insulin secretion, of 100 men and women for 12 weeks.
The participants were divided into three groups: one ate half a grapefruit with each meal; another drank grapefruit juice three times a day; and the rest were given a placebo. Outcome? On average, those in group 1 (ate half a grapefruit) and those in 2 (drank juice), lost between 1.6 and 1.5 kilos, while those in the third group (had consumed a placebo), only lost 0.3 kilos. Be careful, this on average, because there were participants in the first two groups who lost up to 5 kilos.
